Lately, a lot of the people have asked me about how long can they keep their make-up products. This varies depending on category. Usually a good reference point is the number at the back of each product which indicates how many months it can be kept for after opening. Below you will find the expiry dates for each product. Enjoy!
Liquid Foundation: 6 months
Powder Foundation: 2 years
Concealer: 6 - 8 months
Lipstick: 2 years
Lipliner: 1 year
Lipgloss: 6 - 12 months
Lip balm: 1 year
Eyeshadow: 1 - 2 years
Cream shadows and blushes: 12 - 18 months
Mascara: 3 - 6 months
Liquid Eyeliner: 6 months - 1 year
Pencil Eyeliner: 2 years
Nail polish: 2 years
I know it is heartbreaking to throw away your makeup but trust me it is better to throw it away then having to face breakouts or eye infections as bacteria and dirt accumulate on the brushes, wands and inside the palettes. So dedicate a day and throw away all the products that are old, or no longer used!

1. Dedicate one Saturday to get rid of old makeup
2. Stop compulsively buying products
3. Wash your makeup brushes every week
